Store Street Exchange opened a short while back late in 2017 with a star studded VIP event.

Housed in the Double Tree Hilton near Piccadilly Station, they wanted to open a go to bar and restaurant rather than the usual style of hotel bar that rarely sees anyone but those staying in the hotel.

The last year has been somewhat successful and I’ve popped in a few times since that launch, each time being impressed by buzz about the place, so when I was invited back to try out their new menu, I happily accepted.

Inside nothing has changed too much since the launch, but thats because it didn’t need to. Plenty of comfortable seating areas and a well stocked bar which hosts a selection of craft and local beers as well as a range of cocktails and Wines.

During the evening we were served up a selection of items from the menu, starting with starters.

The plate came with some breaded Mushrooms, Smoked Haddock and Gruyere Cheese croquettes plus the star of the plate – a Bury Black Pudding and Apple Sausage Roll, which was just stunning – succulent and full of flavour, I was just upset this was a taster portion!

Next up came a few of the mains. A juicy steak, a flavoursome Pork Belly which is flavoured with Chinese Spice and slow cooked, plus a tasty Pie and Creamy Mash.

Mash is something that I am very fussy with – yeah ok I’m fussy about a lot of things- but this mash was as good as my own – that’s a winner for me!!

The pies are produced by the Great North Pie Company and come in a range of flavours including the Mince and Onion (Which we enjoyed), Roast Chicken and Ham, Lancashire Cheese and Onion and Spinach and Cheese.\

If these aren’t for you, then Executive Chef Stuart Fox has also added his own pie – the homemade Store Street Fish Pie.

With a menu packed with an abundance of true hearty flavours, they cater for all dietary requirements.

Store Street Exchange is located on the ground floor of the DoubleTree Hilton at Piccadilly and is open day and night, from breakfast through to dinner.

Disclaimer

I was invited along to try out samples of the new menu at Store Street Exchange in return for my feedback to them. This review and all contained in it are my own thoughts and are honest.
