COCKTAILS AHOY! MANCHESTER’S FIRST EVER RUM WEEK IS HERE

Grab your tiki mugs and hold onto your pirate hats, Manchester – something seriously spirited and tantalisingly tropicalis about to hit the city…

For the first time EVER, Manchester Rum Week is crashing into town with seven days of rum-fun and cracking cocktails at bars throughout the city centre and surrounding towns.

Taking part in Rum Week – which runs from 21-27th July 2025 – with some sensational serves are; Revolución de Cuba, The Alchemist, Mamucium, Arcane, Blinker, Dust ‘til Pawn, New Century Kitchen, The Drop, Exhibition, Hula, Junction, Junior Jackson’sand Cloud23, with more to be announced.  

As well as exclusive and limited-edition Rum Week cocktails, there will also be brand spotlights, collabs and parties galore. Here are three of the cocktails on the menu for Manchester’s experience hunters…

Cosmic Conch at The Alchemist (New York Street, MediaCity, Spinningfields)
This otherworldly x nautical serve is an intergalactic blend of Bacardi Caribbean Spiced Rum, Planteray Pineapple Rum, orgeat, fresh lime, Alchemy IPA, and a glowing hit of Luminous Sea Foam. It’s tropical, it’s wild, and yes – it actually glows!

Pomegranate Mojito at Reserve Wines (Picturedrome, Mackie Mayor, Altrincham Market)
A fruity twist on a classic rum cocktail, this beauty features Chairman’s Reserve White LabelMonin Pomegranate, fresh lime, mint, and soda. It’s zesty, punchy and dangerously drinkable. Mojito 2.0 just dropped, baby!

Carupano Spritz at Blinker (Spring Gardens)
A rum fizz spectacular of Carupano 12 from Venezuela blended with double peach, ginger, apricot and supasawa – the spritz you didn’t think you needed!

Barrel and Brass Rum Menu at Cloud 23 (Deansgate)

A whole menu of Bacardi cocktails, including a Mojito Verde, Pina Matchalada, Presidente Naranja and Tatton Tai – who said rumming in the clouds wouldn’t be chic! Cloud 23 are also hosting a Bacardi Summer Party on the evening of the 25th July, just head to their website for all the details!

Manchester Rum Week is hosted by the ninth annual Manchester Rum Festival – which is widely regarded by rum fans and cocktail lovers as one of the best in the world.  Over 50 RUM BRANDS from all over the globe will descend on the city for the one-day festival event itself, which is taking place at New Century Hall on Saturday 26th July.  

This year is set to be a game changer with serious seminars, brilliant boogies, tropical tunes, fabulous food and samples galore – and all for just £27.50 a ticket!
