Hatters, the stylish and much-loved neighbourhood bar in the heart of Heaton Moor, is celebrating its 1st birthday with a special relaunch event this Friday, promising new and fresh experiences, and the same welcoming spirit that’s made it a local favourite.

Since opening its doors on Heaton Moor Road last August, the venue has become a favourite with locals with many of its regulars affectionately shortening its name from Hatters Lounge to ‘Hatters’, leading to owner Vinnie Stevenson announcing plans to change its name permanently. The name pays homage to Stockport’s ‘hatting’ history.

Vinnie said: “Having lived in Heaton Moor for years, opening a neighbourhood bar here was always a dream-and this past year has been nothing short of incredible. From day one, the support from the local community and businesses has blown us away. Everyone’s been calling us ‘Hatters’ from the start, so as we celebrate our first birthday, it feels only right to make that name official.

“We’ve spent the last year learning, growing, and finding our rhythm – and now we’re ready to take things to the next level especially with Heaton Moor being named in The Times Top 10 Places to Live in the UK. Our goal has always been to offer some of the best cocktails and drinks in the area, but more than that, we want to create a standout experience that truly reflects what Hatters is all about, not just a place for occasions, but an everyday drinking bar. I can’t wait to welcome everyone back to see the refreshed space and be part of this next chapter.”

Hatters is committed to being a genuine neighbourhood hub, with the rebrand including partnerships with local businesses and a focus on supporting the area’s local musicians and creative community.

As well as a change in name, Hatters will also be showcasing refreshed interiors, balancing luxury with modern comfort, a new seasonal cocktail menu, weekly programming, including live music every Saturday, and an events calendar featuring cocktail masterclasses and bottomless supper clubs.

Hatters will open its doors for its first birthday celebrations from 5pm on Friday (29th August) continuing across the weekend, promising live music, exclusive cocktail previews, and special anniversary offers for the community who’ve supported the venue’s first year.
