The Station Altrincham Reopens Following £250,000 Refurbishment – New Courtyard, Live Sport & After-Work Drinks

One of the town’s most recognisable venues, The Station Altrincham, is set to reopen following a £250,000 refurbishment, unveiling a completely reimagined social space designed for after-work drinks, live sport and long summer evenings spent socialising.

Long established as a favourite with locals, The Station in Altrincham is now targeting a new generation of guests, with a sleek, contemporary redesign aimed at young professionals, couples and social groups. The venue has been fully remodelled throughout, featuring a brand-new bar, upgraded toilets, new flooring and enhanced lighting, alongside the introduction of a striking outdoor courtyard.

The newly launched courtyard is set to become one of the town’s standout social spaces, complete with stylish outdoor furniture, ambient lighting and impressive wall projections. Designed for day-to-night drinking, the space creates a vibrant setting for relaxed afternoons that roll seamlessly into lively evenings.

A major audio-visual upgrade sees 12 HD screens installed throughout The Station Altrincham, including screens in the courtyard, ensuring guests never miss a moment of the action. From live sport and major tournaments to big cultural events, the venue offers full coverage wherever you choose to sit.

After-Work Drinks & Late-Night Socialising in Altrincham

Open from 11am during the week and until 1am every weekend, The Station is positioning itself as Altrincham’s go-to after-work bar. From Monday to Friday until 7pm, guests can enjoy a dedicated after-work drinks menu featuring:

• £6 glasses of wine

A curated spritz menu adds to the early-evening appeal, with options including a classic Aperol Spritz, an Amalfi Spritz and a refreshing Hugo Spritz.

Beer lovers are well catered for, with a premium line-up including Beavertown Neck Oil, Moretti, Cruzcampo and Blind Tiger Pilsner, all served from the newly designed bar — perfect for casual catch-ups or lively nights out in Altrincham.
