Matcha Made Launching at the Trafford Centre: Manchester’s New Must-Visit Matcha Spot

A fresh new wave of green tea culture is about to arrive in Manchester, as Matcha Made prepares to open its very first location at the Trafford Centre.

Set to launch on Monday 16th February in the Upper Food Hall, the brand-new concept is built entirely around matcha — but not as you might expect. Designed to appeal to both traditionalists and curious flavour hunters, Matcha Made blends carefully sourced, high-quality matcha with playful, dessert-inspired creativity, aiming to redefine how the vibrant green tea is experienced on the high street.

At the heart of the concept is a fully customisable drinks menu featuring both hot and iced matcha. Guests can tailor each drink with syrups, flavoured foams and toppings, creating something that feels personal rather than predictable. Signature options include the indulgent Biscoff Foam Matcha, the cosy-leaning Fireside Matcha, the nostalgic Banana Pudding Matcha and a bright Strawberry Matcha finished with dried strawberry pieces for extra texture and sweetness.

The experience goes well beyond drinks. Matcha Made is leaning firmly into dessert territory with a range of Matcha Soft Serves, including Banana Pudding and a Matcha Latte Float — a fun, modern twist on the classic green tea profile. Freshly baked pastries, alongside a full coffee and hot drinks offering (with rich, flavour-packed hot chocolates), ensure there’s something here even for those not yet fully converted to matcha.

Inclusivity is also key to the concept, with both dairy and plant-based milk options available across the menu, making the experience accessible to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences.

With expansion plans already in motion across Manchester city centre and beyond, this opening feels like more than just another food hall addition — it’s the beginning of a bold new chapter for matcha in the city.

Matcha Made officially opens its doors on Monday 16th February, bringing a playful, contemporary matcha experience to Manchester’s ever-evolving food scene
