Taste of Altrincham 2026: 10 Days of Food, Drink & Family Events in Greater Manchester

If you needed an excuse to head to Altrincham (as if the food scene wasn’t reason enough already), this is it. A Taste of Altrincham launches this weekend, bringing ten days of exceptional food, drink and hands-on experiences to town from Thursday 26th February — and it’s shaping up to be one of the North West’s most exciting culinary celebrations.

Showcasing the very best of Altrincham’s thriving hospitality scene, the festival features exclusive dining events, chef demonstrations, tastings, workshops and family-friendly activities. Whether you’re into natural wine, sourdough mastery, Indian street food or creative kids’ cookery sessions, there’s genuinely something for everyone.

Altrincham has steadily built a reputation as one of the region’s most exciting food destinations — and this 10-day festival proves exactly why.

Opening Night: Wine, Atmosphere & Global Flavours

The celebrations begin in style on Thursday 26th February with ‘The Opening Glass’ Wine Tasting at Jardim Rodizio— the perfect way to set the tone for a packed programme celebrating global flavours and local talent.

Expect bold pours, expert guidance and the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer.

Friday: A Feast of Experiences Across Town

Friday’s line-up is a dream for curious food lovers:

  • Jamaican Movement and Pattie Experience at Jenna Patties Co

  • Blanchflower Does Dinner at Blanchflower
An intimate evening showcasing local, seasonal dishes with the restaurant’s signature creativity.
  • Wine and Cheese Night at Alibi
Expertly paired wines alongside artisan cheeses — because some combinations simply never fail.

Saturday at Altrincham Town Hall: Interactive & Inspiring

Saturday brings a full day of immersive experiences at Altrincham Town Hall — ideal if you like your food events hands-on.

Family-Friendly Fun for the Next Generation of Foodies

One of the standout aspects of A Taste of Altrincham is how well it caters for families.

Sunday: Competition, Community & Craft

Sunday shifts gears with something for everyone:

Because sometimes creativity pairs beautifully with coffee and cake.

Celebrating Altrincham’s Food Reputation

With events hosted across restaurants, bars, cafés and venues throughout town, A Taste of Altrincham reinforces why this Greater Manchester hotspot continues to punch well above its weight on the food scene.

Mandy White, Altrincham BID Director, describes the festival as:

“A true celebration of the incredible food and drink offer we have here in our town… showcasing the passion, creativity and community spirit that make Altrincham such a special place to visit.”

Headline sponsor Myerson Solicitors is proudly supporting the festival, reinforcing the town’s reputation as a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
