The House, a 3,500 square foot three bedroom residence on the fifth floor of the former Stock Exchange building, will be available for short and long term contracts from 15 November 2019
Spread over 3,500 square feet, The House will be the only residential apartment in Manchester with a five star hotel service department attached and will provide everything residents will need for both short and long term residency, including three meticulously designed bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
Designed by internationally renowned, multidisciplinary design studio Autoban and situated in a prime location near to Manchester’s business and shopping districts, as well major sporting destinations, The House has its own private entrance and has been designed with superlative attention to detail, extensive amenities, spacious facilities and top of the range furnishings.
Autoban’s multi-layered design approach focused on taking the strong identity of the former Stock Exchange building, built in 1907 and Edwardian baroque in style, and working it into the new, modern architecture of The House. The style is contemporary, giving The House its own unique identity which blends seamlessly with the heritage of the Grade II listed building.
The furniture has all been custom made and provides rounded, as well as sharp edge silhouettes. The use of natural, soft, tactile materials with geometry and different textures combine traditional craftsmanship and comfort with modern technology.
The House has its own roof terrace offering views over and across the Manchester skyline and the open-plan elegant design of the living space includes a breakfast bar, two separate lounge areas, a beverage bar, and an expansive dining room with a dining table which seats 10.
The space is versatile with floor to ceiling skylight windows and underfloor heating and is perfect for unwinding and relaxing or as a space to entertain, with a Bose home entertainment system and 60 inch flat screen TVs.
Facilities and five star service
There is a separate kitchen area, just off the open plan living area which includes a fully kitted Siemens kitchen and appliances, as well as a Nespresso machine.
Each of the three double bedrooms has a sophisticated style, with top quality mattresses designed to give residents the ultimate night’s sleep. Each bedroom comes with its own en-suite complete with contemporary walk-in shower and Dr Harris & Co. toiletries. The master bedroom en-suite even has a double shower. A fitness room with a treadmill, exercise bike and free weights completes the space.
Stock Exchange co-owner, Ryan Giggs commented: “There is huge opportunity for growth in the serviced apartment industry in Manchester. The city is a global one, it is progressive and it is forward thinking. So many businesses and individuals are attracted to Manchester by investment opportunities and for business reasons, as well as for sport and leisure so the demand for a product like The House is there and it will continue to grow.
“Manchester city centre is a great place to live, work and socialise. I loved living in the centre and I am still a huge advocate of it. Our penthouse will offer residents a very high standard of living and larger living spaces and bedrooms than what is currently available on the market.”
With complimentary WiFi, a 24 hour personal concierge and house-keeping service, 24 hour valet parking, laundry, in-room dining and use of the hotel car, The House is set to be a stand out addition to Manchester’s residential offering, both on short and long term contracts.
Stock Exchange Hotel is one of Manchester’s most eagerly anticipated openings and will be launching on 15th November. Co-owned by Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and hotelier Winston Zahra, the boutique property is set to open as a member of global hotel and restaurant fellowship, Relais & Châteaux and will be managed and operated by Manchester based GG Hospitality. The hotel will offer 40 rooms, including two signature suites, as well as The House.
The Bull & Bear, The Bank and The Vault
Chef Tom Kerridge will be opening his new restaurant, The Bull & Bear, in Stock Exchange Hotel. Located within the grand domed room which was previously the trading floor of the Stock Exchange, Tom’s first Manchester outpost will be an approachable and social space, blurring the lines between elegance and informality, with a menu reflecting Tom’s signature style of refined British classics.
In addition to The Bull & Bear restaurant, Tom and his team will be overseeing The Bank, offering private dining experiences for up to 14 people, and The Vault, catering for private events for up to 120 people.
