Royal Nawaab Launches Brunch

Sitting proud in an old cinema, the Royal Nawaab on Stockport Road is a hard place to miss.

The impressive building houses the buffet style asian restaurant serving up authentic Indian and Pakistani delights for just £20.95 per person (£10.95 for children 4-10 yrs) allowing you to eat as much as you can manage.

Pre-Covid the restaurant was always buzzing with diners, as well as catering for weddings in their upstairs suites. With restrictions lifting they are finally back.

On entering you cant help but be impressed with its entrance hall, which is gorgeous in design. A side door then leads you into the large banqueting hall where the buffet awaits.

In addition to their usual opening times of 17:00 – 23:00, they have also added ‘Brunch’ on weekends from 12:00-16:00 where all the usual options are joined by some breakfast treats including masala omelette, beans and even hash browns as well as old favourites like Chana Dhal.

The buffet is plentiful and alongside the breakfast options are a range of starters including Pakora’s, Fish Masala and Bhaji’s, all of which please immensely.

Where Fish Masala Meets Croissant

Following on from the breakfast options are a huge selection of curry’s, which range from usual favorites to more authentic options like a delightful Nihari Gosht. Grilled options are also available to order at the counter, like the most tender spiced lamb chops. Or how about treating yourself to a touch of Biryani, the choices are endless.

Desserts are also well catered for with the buffet price, from Crumbles to Indian options including Gulab Jamun and one of my Egyptian favorites, Om Ali.

With everything mentioned included in the single price, its fantastic value for money.

All the food we have ever had at Royal Nawaab has been a delight which transports us back to our time living and working in India. Its one of a few places that we enjoy due to its authenticity as well as great service.

Drinks are extra of course and there are a range of soft drinks, juices, mocktails and teas and coffees available to choose from while dining.

If you are thinking of heading down for brunch this or any other weekend, I would highly recommend their Masala Tea.

The Royal Nawaab can be found at 1008 Stockport Road, Manchester, or visit their website here.
