Product Review:- Klean Kanteen

Over the last year, I like so many of us, have begun to be so much more aware of single use plastics and how bad they can be for our planet.

As such I have tried to choose the things I buy more carefully, such as loose fruit and veg rather then packaged.

Recently I was given the chance to try out a couple of reusable containers from Klean Kanteen, a family run, Californian company with a real focus on environmentally friendly solutions.

The first product I tried was their 16oz Insulated Tumbler – a perfect alternative to using disposable coffee cups.

The insulted design claims to keep your drink hot for upto 4 hours and that’s with a lid that enables you to still drink the contents.

Being a coffee monster, I start my day with an espresso, followed up by a cappuccino which I have previously bought from a coffee shop for £3+. By using my Nespresso machine at home and making my own in this cup I can save myself a fortune.

The cup is a beautiful design and very easy to drink from. As well as the splash resistant lid that comes as standard, you can also use this cup with a lid designed to be used with Klean Kanteen’s stainless steel straw, yet another eco friendly product and great for cold drinks, which can be kept cool for upto 20hrs.

The tumbler is finished in a Powder Coat Finish, that not only feels good to hold, it’s also easy to clean and chip resistant.

I have used this cup every morning for a couple of weeks now, I have even started to make coffee in it at work – no more coffee going cold due to getting distracted.

The other product I have tried was a refillable water bottle – A single walled stainless steel bottle, this is a lightweight and convenient bottle.

Usually sticking to bottles of water in my boot as I drive around the country, this single bottle has replaced those instantly.

The real potential of this bottle was released while travelling however. Taking regular flights, I tend to suffer from bad sinuses and ear trouble on flights, having to sip water repeatedly. Bottles of water can be expensive on board or at the airport, so here’s really where the bottle comes in handy.

Taking the bottle empty in my  hand luggage, once through security I simply head to a coffee shop and asked them to fill it with tap water, which they were only too happy to do. Not only have I saved myself money, but I’ve done away with the need to buy and use a wasteful plastic bottle.

The water bottle has a sports style drinking top, which makes it easy to sip and stay hydrated throughout the day, as well as being finished in the same powder finish as the tumbler.

Both of these products are now used by me daily, with people asking where they came from as they look great.

Klean Kanteen also produce a number of other products that can be discovered here

*These products were sent for me to review free of charge, all thoughts and comments are my own honest opinion.
