Looking for something different to eat and drink in Manchester this October? Three upcoming Manchester food events caught my eye, from an intimate Bombay-inspired dinner to a Palestinian supper club and a rather unusual attempt at a world record.
Dishoom Manchester’s intimate Bombay-inspired dinner
Tuesday 20 October 2026 | Dishoom Manchester | £50

Dishoom Manchester is hosting a one-off “Eat Your Way Through Bombay” dinner, bringing together dishes inspired by different parts of Bombay.
The family-style feast will combine some of Dishoom’s established favourites with new-to-the-menu dishes, with the evening also including a welcome drink and an introduction from the restaurant’s head chef.
There are just 20 places available, making this a particularly intimate Dishoom experience.
There’s a charitable element too. For every ticket sold, a young person living in difficult circumstances will receive the same dinner through Eat Well MCR.
Tickets are £50 per person.
Palestinian supper club coming to Manchester
Thursday 22 October 2026 | Leo & Roobs | £55

DARNA: A Palestinian Supper Club is bringing Palestinian food and communal dining to Manchester for one night.
Organised by Commonhood, the event will feature a Palestinian chef and the owner of Gladstone Bistro, with a menu including Arabic mezze, a slow-cooked traditional main and a basbousa-inspired dessert.
Guests will dine at communal tables, giving the evening more of a traditional supper-club feel than a conventional restaurant dinner.
It’s a chance to discover Palestinian food in Manchester through a menu created specifically for the event.
Tickets are £55 per person.
Manchester is going for a world record for pickle making
Monday 26 October 2026 | Track Brewing Co, Ancoats | £5

Holly Pickle, founder of Pickle Fest and Track Pickle Club, is attempting a world record for pickle making at Track Brewing Co in Ancoats — and the public can get involved.
The half-term event is being supported by Dunsters Farm and Organic North, with tickets currently priced at just £5.
The detailed record target and rules haven’t yet been published, but anyone who fancies spending a Monday making pickles at an Ancoats brewery can book a place.
And, frankly, Manchester’s food calendar would be a little dull without something like this.
Three very different Manchester food events
From Bombay-inspired food at Dishoom to Palestinian cooking at DARNA and a potential world record for pickle making, these are three very different additions to Manchester’s October food calendar.
They’re also all one-off events, so booking is essential if you want to take part.
