DISHOOM BACON NAANS ARE BACK IN MANCHESTER

DISHOOM BACON NAANS ARE BACK IN MANCHESTER

If like me, you have been missing the taste of Dishoom, well here is some great news :-

DISHOOM BACON NAAN ROLL KITS NOW AVAILABLE NATIONWIDE

That’s right, as of today, Dishoom are selling Bacon Naan Roll Kit to order for nationwide delivery.

This means that patrons both near and far can enjoy this much-missed café classic in the comfort of their own kitchens.

The kits, lovingly prepared by Dishoom’s big-hearted team of chef-wallas, can now be dishoomed to doors across the UK, containing the ingredients required to make two first-class Bacon Naan Rolls, along with the requisite tea and spices for a batch of Masala Chai.

If that wasn’t a good enough news story, there is more, as for every Bacon Naan Roll Kit sold nationwide, Dishoom will donate a meal to Magic Breakfast, their long-term charity partner that provides free, nutritious meals to children that might otherwise go hungry.

Patrons can purchase their kits for nominated day delivery via the Dishoom online store here.

Orders can be made up to one month in advance of the desired delivery date (kindly note a limited number will be available for each day – fastest fingers will be richly rewarded).

Like its café counterpart, the cookery kit features top-class produce prepared by Dishoom’s chef-wallas. Each kit serves two and contains smoked streaky bacon from Ramsay of Carluke (matured in the traditional Ayrshire way and smoked over applewood and beechwood chips), three naan doughballs (enough for two plus a spare for experimentation), tomato-chilli jam (Dishoom’s sweet, sharp, spicy signature sauce), fresh coriander and cream cheese. Each kit also contains loose leaf Darjeeling tea and chai spices (black peppercorns, cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, fresh ginger) for recreating Dishoom’s much-loved Masala Chai (just add milk and sugar to brew).

The kit comes with full cookery instructions, including the method for achieving pillowy-soft naan perfection at home – a handy video to help first-timers is also available online. The team have been busy in the café kitchens perfecting the dough recipe and the at-home cookery method to ensure first-rate results without the need for a big hot clay oven – lucky recipients will feel like expert tandoor chefs, in minutes.

The Bacon Naan Roll Kit is one of many means of enjoying Dishoom at home, with their online store offering all sorts of little gifts for lucky recipients across the UK. For the first time ever, the team have made available the cafés much-loved Dishoom coins – minted at the consent of her Majesty’s Treasury, each coin can be used to settle all or part of the bearer’s bill at any Dishoom, making them a perfect no-expiry-date gift for when the cafés can warmly welcome guests once more.

Patrons will also find copies of “Dishoom: From Bombay with Love”, the team’s first-ever cookery book (and highly subjective guide to Bombay, with map), as well as “Slip Disc”, Dishoom’s album of dancefloor-worthy 1960s Bombay-London music, available in vinyl LP and CD format. Gifts can be perused, and purchases made, at http://www.dishoom.com/store.

The Bacon Naan Roll Kits, priced at £16, are now available to order for nationwide, nominated day delivery across the UK mainland (excluding the Scottish Highlands). Deliveries can be booked up to one month in advance via the website
